The safe had obviously been damaged before it was boxed. There is a small dent in the top left corner and a scuff on the same side toward the back. The box it came in was undamaged. Where was QC? I asked to return this for a refund because I have purchased a different safe from Costco. (Also First Alert) One problem is that I don’t have the packaging. I didn’t read the warranty info carefully enough because it states that there are no refunds. What kind of a policy is that? Certainly not one put forward by a reputable manufacturer. Also, the online description of this safe says that it is waterproof even when bolted down - only one problem with that; this model can’t be bolted down. All I can add is buyer beware. Purchasing this safe has been very difficult for me, my grandsons who helped move it to the basement, and me. I hope the replacement is better.

I am happy with this product but if I ever need a replacement key, it seems like it would be a big hassle!!
